Department of Pharmacognosy

The study of inactive pharmaceutical ingredients derived from plants, animals, and fungus is known as pharmacognosy. Physical, chemical, biochemical, and biological characteristics of medications, drug substances, or prospective drugs or drug substances derived from natural sources are studied in this field, which also seeks to discover new drugs from these sources.
